Ñ Click the Icon "Click To Install BBN" located on the CD-ROM. Follow the onscreen instructions for an EASY INSTALL. The BBN software will be placed in a folder called BBN Vol 1 (or 2, as appropriate) at the location you specify on the Hard Drive. After installation simply click the BBN icon to run and do try out navigating around the CD-ROM Show Maker screens and Shows.
ÑWhen you do finally click the Screen Saver button on the bottom left of the CD-ROM Opening Screen, you'll be able to select photos to instally for use with both the BBN Viewer application and the After Dark Third Party plug-in module. You may actually run either the BBN Viewer and/or the BBNudes After Dark screen saver and calendar.
Ñ See the ReadMe File within the BBN After Dark folder for specific After Dark Plug-in installation instructions.
For Best Performance
Ñ Check the amount of free memory by selecting About This Macintosh from the Finder's menu bar. Look at the number Largest Unused Block. Select the BBW application and then select the Get Info from the Finder's File Menu. Change the prefered size for the BBN application to sum of the Largest Unused Block -- minus about 500K for overhead.
Ñ Turn off all unnecessary extension and control panels and reboot. Extensions required by this release include: Any necessary CD-ROM drivers, QuickTime 2.1, QuickTime PowerPlug (PPC only), MultiMedia Tuner, Sound Manager 3.0, Sound.
Ñ Turn off all screen savers and Quit all other applications before running the Show Maker.
Ñ Adjust your monitor's brightness and contrast controls to taste with a photo in full-sized preview mode (after launching the Show Maker).
Ñ Turn off AppleTalk in the Chooser and disable any other network connections.
Ñ Make sure you are running from a drive that is not heavily fragmented. Use a Defragmentation program if necessary.
Ñ Use the Memory Control Panel to increase the size of your disk cache to 256K or greater.
Ñ Use the Memory Control Panel to turn Virtual Memory OFF.
Getting Started
When you are running Beautiful Beautiful Nudes¬ and need help,
click the Help button in the lower left corner of the opening screen and then click the objects you have questions about. (The cursor will change to a question mark until you again click the Help button.)
You will hear voice help when you open a screen for the first time. To reset the voice help or to turn it off or on again, click Show Settings, and then click Audio Effects to access the voice help settings.
Click the Info/Orders button for information about our company, new products, ordering, licenses and technical support.
TECHNICAL TIPS
ÑOut of Memory: Some of the Show Maker screens consume more memory than others, e.g. the Edit Window, which if you do considerable editing might cause an Out of Memory problem. If you have adequate memory (RAM) available, you can easily allocate more memory to the running of the Show Maker. With all applications closed, pull down the About This Macintosh under your Apple Menu and determine he largest unused block of your Total Memory. Then Select (highlight) the BBN Show Maker icon and under File then pull down and select Get Info for the BBN Show Maker. Reset the settings for Minimum size and Preferred size (about 500K less than your largest unused block figure) to higher figures. If you have lots of Memory, the higher the better. Then open the BBN Show Maker.
Ñ Settings for BBN are stored in the BBN folder found within the Preferences folder, located within the System Folder. You can delete this folder in order to restore BBN back to factory settings and/or free up Hard Drive space. However to not lose all your Shows that you've created by deleting BBN rename the folder to BBN Old Preferences and store outside of the BBN folder before deleting the BBN folder. Then if you again install from the CD-ROM just drag the contents (only the contents) of the BBN Old Preferences folder into the newly installed BBN Prefereces Folder.
